Moms
This morning I was able to sit and study my Bible - to read, take notes, and contemplate, with it being quiet! What a sweet time. I am so grateful now for this time in my life where I can do this.
Life has not always been this way. Life has been busy over the years - homeschooling, trying to spoil and be a good wife to my hubby, weaning, farming, gardening, 4-H, rodeo, church, paying bills, laundry, driving kids endlessly to this and that!
YOU may be in the middle of this 'chaos'! No, it is not chaos. It is just part of your life's journey of being a great mom and being where God has you.
Let me encourage you to BE in God's Word daily. It is your strength, your direction, your truth, your sustenance. You may not be able to study and sit and absorb like I can now, but you CAN and NEED TO spend time with God. This is what will get you through life with direction and peace. It is your lifeblood!
Try to read a few verses a day. As you read, think about what stood out to you. If you can, write a few thoughts briefly in a journal. Ask questions like What did this mean to me?, How can I apply what I read?, Did I learn something new?, Is there a commandment or principle to keep?
Make your time reading the Bible easy and doable, but be sure to do it! You and your family will be glad you did!
Life is a journey. There are many parts to it. Enjoy each part and stay in the Word!
